Desmond W Parry and Stephen J Carver established Parry Carver, Solicitors, in January 1990. Both were formerly employed as solicitors with the Wellington firm Dean Espley and Barrett.
In December 1995 Desmond Parry left to pursue a career as a barrister and was replaced in the partnership by Robert Prigg.
Robert Prigg joined the firm as a trainee solicitor in September 1993. Robert specialised in family, civil litigation and employment law. Robert left Parry Carver Solicitors in March 2013 to become a District Judge.
On 1st February 2001, the firm took over Espley & Co. Their senior partner was Roger Espley.
The firm moved to Church Street, Wellington in December 2001 where it remains.
In September 2003, Catharine Thomas who had joined the firm as a trainee solicitor was appointed a partner. Catharine maintains her expertise in both private client work and civil litigation.
In February 2013, the firm took over Murray Cairns Solicitors.
In October 2017 the firm took over Grindrod's & Co Solicitors and Sue Grindrod joined the team.
In May 2022 Parry Carver Solicitors opened a new office in Newport.
