Steve Carver

Stephen Carver: B.Sc (Hons) Senior Partner Solicitor

Stephen is the Senior Partner and founder member of the firm which was established in 1990. He specialises in residential and commercial conveyancing, property and personal matters.

He has established an extensive client base in the local community and is involved with both Wellington Cricket Club and Telford Rugby Club.

The expertise of the practice has been encouraged through his management and the retention of quality personnel.



Robert Prigg

ROBERT PRIGG: LL.B (Hons) Partner Solicitor

Robert Prigg is a specialist in family law, dealing with all aspects of family breakdown.

He gained a 2:1 Honours degree in Law from the University of Central England and passed all heads of the Law Society Finals at the College of Law, York. He trained with Parry Carver and following qualification became a Partner in 1995.

Robert is a Member of Resolution (formerly the Solicitors Family Law Association); he is an accredited specialist in family law as an approved member of the Law Society's Advanced Family Law Panel; he is a solicitor member of the Solicitors Disciplinary Tribunal and also sits as a Deputy District Judge.

Robert also works as a Consultant for the Peer Review Team of the Legal Services Commission assessing and auditing the quality of other firms.

In addition to family law Robert also practices in Civil Litigation, Employment Law and Wills and Probate. This enables him to offer a holistic service to all of his family clients who may, as a consequence of the breakdown of the relationship, have ancillary issues that also need resolving.

Robert is able to offer a comprehensive service to clients from his offices at Wellington.

Catharine Thomas

CATHARINE THOMAS: LL.B (Hons) Partner Solicitor

Catharine joined Parry Carver in 2000 as a Trainee Solicitor dealing with Wills & Probate, Personal Injury & Employment law and qualified as a Solicitor in 2002. Catharine became a Partner in the firm in September 2004.

Catharine specialises in many elements of Wills and Probate this also includes Enduring Power of Attorney, Court of Protection, Elderly Client issues and Contentious Probate claims. She is also a member of the Law Society Probate Section.

Clients find Catharine personable, reliable and she eases the pressure on families at difficult times in their lives. Outside of work Catharine enjoys spending time with her family and keeping fit by running, walking and cycling.

Sam Hoyle

SAMANTHA HOYLE: BA (Hons) Partner Solicitor

Samantha joined Parry Carver as a Trainee Solicitor in April 2001 having read Law and German at the University of Wolverhampton attaining a 2:1 degree with honours and thereafter a Post Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice.

From the outset Samantha has demonstrated a keen interest and strong commitment to the area of Family Law.

Since her qualification as a Solicitor in October 2002 she has continued to work alongside Mr Robert Prigg, the Head of the Family Department, in developing an ever expanding team of experienced staff, with whom client's may discuss the very often traumatic circumstances of their relationship breakdown and whom they may reliably entrust the resolution of their personal affairs.

Since becoming a Partner in October 2006 Samantha has continued to specialise in all areas of family law, namely the separation and/or divorce of married couples, disputes arising between cohabiting parties; the dissolution of civil partnerships and all aspects of private law proceedings in respect of issues and arrangements relating to children.

Malcolm Bayliss: LL.B (Hons)  Solicitor

Malcolm qualified as a Solicitor in 1975, becoming Senior Partner in his family Firm in Wolverhampton in 1980 before retiring from that position in 2000.  He remained there as a part-time Consultant until April 2009 when he joined Parry Carver in a similar role bringing with him a wealth of experience in business and commercial property matters, Wills and Probate.  Being part-time enables him to be available to undertake additional hours on particularly urgent commercial matters as and when they arise.

Nasrin Begum

NASRIN BEGUM: Legal Executive (FILEX)

Nasrin Begum is a fellow of the Institute of Legal Executives working within the personal injury department. Having started her career with the firm as a Legal Secretary her abilities were recognised and she trained as a Legal Assistant. She has further progressed with her studies and qualified as a Legal Executive. We are particularly proud of her qualities as she has taken time out with the birth of her two children but she manages her personal life to work full time and is dedicated to working for her clients.

Nasrin has six years experience in dealing with personal injury compensation claims and she specialises in claims involving road traffic accidents, accidents at work, slips, trips and falls.

Even with this busy schedule she has time for reading books, going to the cinema and socialising.

Amy Williams: Trainee Legal Executive (G.Inst.L.Ex)

Amy Williams is a graduate member of the Institute of Legal Executives. Having joined the firm in August 2005 Amy has spent the last three years working alongside both Mr Robert Prigg and Miss Samantha Hoyle in the family department and now manages her own case load.

During this period she has gained her ILEX qualifications whilst working full time and it is now her aim to be admitted as a Fellow of the Institute of Legal Executives.

 

Steve Wood

Stephen Wood: Practice Manager

Stephen was appointed Practice Manager in April 2007 and provides lead support to the Partners in all aspects of the Practice Management. He has eight years experience in a similar role in the legal profession and many years experience of administration, personnel, financial management and planning in the public sector.

At the direction of the partners he is responsible for the development of the firm and procedures to maintain 'good practice' in all areas of our business. He specialises in cost management, effectiveness of our systems and the investigation and introduction of new technology to benefit the working systems of the firm.

He is responsible for recruitment of staff and all personnel matters and the compliance of our regulatory standards.

He is the firm's lead on Investors in people having attained accreditation under the new standard in June 2007 and he is now working towards the firm gaining The Law Society's Lexcel Quality Mark during the coming 12 months.
